Welcome to
DC Armory Football Club

A parent-supported, professionally coached club for kids who love playing soccer.

What if you could build community around local soccer – and a more advanced level of play?

DC Armory began with a group of parents coaching our kids’ recreation teams. As they grew, we sought a more advanced environment.

The path seemed narrow. Programs that risked losing much of what we loved about youth recreation sports seemed like the only option around. That tradeoff never felt right.

As we built Armory, something became clear: when the environment is right, players improve — not because development is the objective, but because the culture makes growth natural.

We aim to create an environment where players can grow steadily — as athletes and as teammates — within a consistent environment.

We are a professionally coached, parent-managed club.

Armory is a nonprofit, parent-managed club with paid professional coaches.

Parents handle the club operations, creating a structure that supports continuity, keeps cost down and keeps the focus on the players and teams.

Our coaches are former high-level players who have chosen to be part of a community club and are committed to building teams and players over time.

We enter our teams into competitive leagues that match their development and within reasonable commutes to make youth sports logistics more manageable. We help each other with rides when needed.

This keeps costs down so more families can participate. We invest in coaching, good playing opportunities, and a lot of pizza.

We maintain Fall and Spring outdoor soccer and Winter futsal programs for players born between 2014 and 2018. Teams are grouped based on development level.

Teams practice twice per week and generally play one weekend match. Rosters are kept small to maximize playing time, which is why Armory is a good fit for players who love being on the field and want to grow with a team over time.
